Privacy policy

Who we are

This website, www.chicagolocalcleaning.com, is run by Your Local Cleaning Inc, which does business as Chicago Local Cleaning, a cleaning company based in Prospect Heights, Illinois. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Your Local Cleaning Inc. You can reach us at yourlocalcleaningcrew@gmail.com or (224) 453-3841.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote on this site, the form asks for:

• your name, phone number and email address;
• the service you need, the type of space, its approximate size and your preferred time;
• your ZIP code, which we use to fill in your town;
• anything you choose to write in the notes box.

The form also records the language of the page and the page you sent it from. If you call, text or email us, we receive whatever you choose to share, such as the address and details of the space to be cleaned. We do not take payments on this website.

Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. It uses cookies and similar technology to collect information such as the pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a Google search or an ad), the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location. We also record a few actions as analytics events: clicks on our phone number, email address and quote buttons, and each quote request sent. For a quote request, that event includes only general details such as the service you chose and your town, never your ZIP code, name, phone number, email or notes. If you reach us through one of our Google ads, Google Ads uses cookies to tell us whether the visit led to a quote request.

How we use it

• to reply to your quote request and answer your questions;
• to schedule and provide the cleaning, and to handle billing;
• to improve this website and understand which services people look for;
• to measure how well our advertising works, for example whether a quote request came from one of our Google ads.

We will not use your details to send you spam.

How we share it

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site and the business:

• Netlify hosts this website and receives the quote requests sent through the form, which it stores in our account and forwards to our business email. Like any web host, it also processes technical data such as your IP address when your browser loads a page.
• Google hosts our business email (Gmail), where quote requests are delivered, and provides Google Analytics and Google Ads, which collect the usage information described above. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We may also share information when the law requires it.

Cookies and your choices

Google Analytics and Google Ads use cookies. The site works without them, and you can:

• block or delete cookies in your browser settings;
• install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on;
• control the ads Google shows you in your Google ad settings.

You can also ask us to update or delete the details you have sent us by emailing yourlocalcleaningcrew@gmail.com or calling (224) 453-3841. We will do so unless we need to keep them for our business records.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and customer details only as long as we need them to respond to you, provide our services and keep our business records. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and quote requests are kept in password-protected accounts. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as card numbers through the form.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

This site links to other websites, such as our Google Business Profile, Instagram and Thumbtack. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
